Furuno FA-50 Class B AIS Transponder is a black-box AIS solution for vessels that need to transmit their identity while receiving surrounding traffic information. It is designed to improve situational awareness on pleasure craft and smaller commercial vessels operating in busy coastal traffic.

With a 12-channel GPS receiver, dual-parallel TDMA VHF channels, Ethernet, and NMEA 0183 connectivity, the FA-50 can feed AIS information to compatible displays and PC-based systems. Its remote-mount form factor helps keep the helm uncluttered while adding a useful layer of traffic awareness.
