Garmin GPSMAP 5008 Touchscreen Chartplotter is designed as a central control display for Garmin Marine Network installations. It combines a touch interface, integrated WAAS-enabled GPS, and support for optional mapping, weather, sonar, radar, and video inputs in one helm-mounted unit.

The interface is focused on quick chart interaction and easy access to connected sensors. Optional BlueChart g2 Vision cards extend the mapping side with satellite imagery, aerial photos, 3D perspectives, and Auto Guidance when more chart detail is needed.
